You know what happens in 2020, right??
The plan:
- Let Trump run amok for his four years.
- Build the anger towards him and repubs
- Huge dem wins in 2020
- Gerrymander the hell out of the districts
Also: dems have firm commitments from current SC justices that they'll hang on for the next four years, barring extreme health problems.
So Trump will only get one nominee, who is likely to be left of Scalia anyway.

Yea...the GOP is pretending like they won an mandate....They'd be wise to recognize that they won an electoral college vote, but the lost the actual vote.

The dems would be wise to listen to the voters instead of trying to force their will on the people.
Trump has a mandate. The people have given him the whitehouse, house, and senate.
Obama had a mandate as well. He blew it. But, we gave him his chance. You will give Trump his chance as well.

California gave the dems the popular vote. Most of the country does not wish to live under the regulations and taxations California chooses. Look at Kentucky who elected a republican house for the first time in 95 years. The founders wanted the bulk of the power to reside in the individual states which would serve liberals and conservatives well. You get more influence in local government versus federal. You want ridiculous regulation and tax then vote it in. If you can't then move to California or some other liberal utopia where they share the love for such things.

As long as they remain clustered in a relatively few states, it will continue to screw them. What they need to be doing is moving to the swing states en bloc.

The people? I can't tell you how glad I am that 233,404 people (or 0.2%) of the voting population DIDN'T get to chose our leader. I'm so glad this election WASN'T determined by 0.07% of the people in this country. I support the Electoral College when a Democrat wins just as much as when a Republican does.
I'm so glad cities didn't get to bully suburbs and rural communities into their overcrowded cesspool political garbage. I'm glad our Founding Fathers had the foresight to realize that we will never have a perfect electorate with perfect knowledge spread over all the people and designed a system to protect the people in smaller states from being bullied by bigger ones. To protect the people in the heartland from the tyranny of big city herd mentality.
Our Founding Fathers didn't believe in mob rule. The Electoral College is another prudent check on run-away government. The only thing wrong now with it is that the Electors are assigned by political parties and not chosen due to their upstanding reputations within their states.

Won basically everywhere but the northeast and west coast. Very nearly won one of the most Democratic states, Minnesota. Made significant inroads in Illinois.

By the way, that map is county by county I believe. When the precinct by precint maps come out, the map probably gets much redder.
