the pants are sweet too. Brown stripe down the side with the same gold streaks in them on grey pants. Uni's are sharp!

I don't care for the grey, but any uni looks good during a 39 point win in your rival's stadium. 02-13-banana

Sure looked better than CMU's red and yellow uniforms! Why they abandoned maroon and legitimate gold is beyond me. 01-wingedeagle

RE: New Unis - Broncos83 - 10-01-2016 09:49 PM

CMU's helmets were brutal!

RE: New Unis - rsswmu - 10-01-2016 09:50 PM

Out unis were almost as bad as central

RE: New Unis - MajorHoople - 10-02-2016 07:03 PM

Why gray uniforms? We trying to be Eastern Michigan?

Those things are beyond ugly.

Stick with brown and gold (and white for away).

RE: New Unis - schwebbs84 - 10-02-2016 07:06 PM

Uniforms are simply recruiting.

I could care less about what we're wearing as long as what we're doing translates to results, recruits, and donor money.

Don't forget that we're in on a good portion of the big time CMU recruits that took their official visit last night.

Those recruits saw what everyone else did.

CMU has "big time recruits"?

The Army Corps of Cadets is known as "The Long Gray Line."

They would have a reason to wear gray in their unis.

Us, not.

I am not a big fan of the uniforms we wore Saturday, or at least I wasn't until we trashed CMU in them. But I am not a fan of the multi combat uniform movement in college football the last several years. I like traditional uniforms. The Tigers have kept same home uniforms, and the red wings uniforms are classic. Michigan is stupid to ever deviate from the traditional style. However, apparently uniforms can make a difference in recruiting, so do what you have to do I guess.

Saturday's uniforms kind of looked like they were white, but then got washed in dirty dish water.

We are not the target market for multiple alternate uniforms. And thanks to Oregon they are here to stay. Even "Last Chance U" trotted out multiple unis on the show. Not going away.

Why, you old curmudgeon. Traditionalism is dead. Oregon opened a can of something that can't be put back in the can. They had an ace in the hole nobody else had in Phil Knight of Nike. Still, everybody else is trying to emulate with multiple looks. Really makes me wonder how much programs are spending on uniforms. It's got to be large, even with special deals.

No matter how ugly some of the combinations look to you or I, if they kick butt in them, some people are going to learn to tolerate them.

But I give them this much - they are causing people to talk because they are unpredictable. Who ever thought you'd be reading about football fashions here?

I personally just want the team to look sharp.
