Who has a better chance of winning this week? UCONN @ Houston or Memphis @ Ole Miss?

RE: Better Upset Pick? - pesik - 09-28-2016 10:48 AM

Easily Memphis, memphis has blown everyone out to date and ole miss is 2-2 I get ole miss has played dramatically better teams but we don't know the cieling on how good Memphis is

Itsthe opposite with the Houston/uconn game

Memphis

RE: Better Upset Pick? - mtmedlin - 09-28-2016 10:50 AM

Memphis and I wouldnt say that its an upset. Money should be close to even.

Winning? Memphis. Covering? Might have to go with UConn (28 is a BIG number)

RE: Better Upset Pick? - apex_pirate - 09-28-2016 11:02 AM

Memphis

RE: Better Upset Pick? - NothingButKnight - 09-28-2016 11:40 AM

Probably Memphis. Ole Miss is 2-2, but they've also played FSU, Alabama, and Georgia. Still, they're beatable, and have overlooked Memphis before.

I predicted Memphis to win

RE: Better Upset Pick? - acc4life - 09-28-2016 11:46 AM

Memphis all day

They won't overlook Memphis.

Southern Alabama

Someone mentioned in another thread that Freeze would LOVE to put a 77-3 whipping (Bowling Green style) on Memphis it it were possible. They will not overlook the Tigers, and neither will Chad Kelly after that brutal mauling he took last year.

That plays right into our favor. Let them come out emotionally charged and playing for revenge. They'll throw a couple of early haymakers but will panic when they can't put the game away at halftime.

Memphis. Ole Miss is the goodest baddest team in college.

RE: Better Upset Pick? - Kronke - 09-28-2016 01:37 PM

Memphis is 14 point dog, UConn is nearly a 30 point dog. Hmm, I wonder which one is more likely.

Memphis/Ole' Miss, USF/Cincy, and Louisville/Clemson are the 3 games I'm most excited to watch this weekend.

Itsthe opposite with the Houston/uconn game

90% of all FBS teams would be 2-2 with Old Myth's schedule.

you are missing the point...it wasnt criticizing ole miss loss but saying we dont know how good memphis is....memphis could have been part of that 10%, we dont know

I got that, I'm saying that pointing out that Cold Mist is 2-2 is misleading. If they started out with creampuffs instead the two of the most outstanding programs in the past 35 (or more) years, including facing the weaker one on the road, they'd be 4-0.

Yeah I'd agree with that. I see the number is now Houston -29.5, which is a mega number for just about any conference match up. Memphis is a 14.5 point dog on the road. Memphis has a much better chance of winning IMO, but I could easily see UCONN squeaking a cover and Memphis dropping by like 17 or something.

RE: Better Upset Pick? - dezagcoog - 09-29-2016 08:47 AM

Well I'm nervous about the Memphis/Ole miss game. I really think that they can win. They're playing well, have good talent that returned this year. New coach with new energy. But i also thought USF had a good chance to win and they got blown out... we really need a few too notch p5 wins and i really hoe this is one of them!

RE: Better Upset Pick? - pesik - 09-29-2016 09:19 AM

im curios to see how this game plays out...looks like a lot of players are ready to destroy uconn if possible

a ton of our players yesterday tweeted a picture of themselves in their uniform and each had a 1 word caption, like "redemption" "vengeance" "revenge" "focused""atonement"
