Wow just saw this:
How great is Saturday's schedule? This is the first time ever that AP No. 1, 2 and 3 each play a true road game vs a ranked opponent in the same week. Only once have No. 1, 2 and 3 all lost on same day - New Year's Day 1966.
#1 Alabama @ #19 Ole Miss
#2 FSU @ #10 Louisville
#3 Ohio St @ #14 Oklahoma
so it's not even like they're playing teams ranked 21 or 25 even.

The Oklahoma game seems suspect. Not sure I really buy them as top 25.
I guess we'll see. But if Houston can beat them, I don't see why Ohio St can't take the same game plan and increase the point differential by another 50%.

ya, but the difference is they're at home, and have nothing to lose really....this is their one shot to be back in the NC chase

yeah. pretty close to a must win for Oklahoma. And, it's 1st road game for Ohio St, which no matter what week it is can be a real adventure. For all 3 top teams, that's the case.

That sounds like you are selling Houston short. It's too early to do that, IMO. Other than maybe Alabama, I haven't seen anybody else yet that's significantly better than Houston. I'll bet Ohio State isn't taking them lightly.

FSU, Louisville, Ohio State, and Michigan all look pretty good....
Houston gets Louisville later in the year. Better take care of business with Cincinnati Thursday though. The season didn't end after Oklahoma...it's a lot harder playing on the road with a bulls eye on your back too

Houston has a tough issue...they play in a tough conference but won't get credit for it even if they win.

The AAC had 4 teams that spent a big chunk of the season ranked last year and could have that again. USF wasn't even one of them and all of their regular season losses, except to Maryland, were good losses.

The AAC is a tough conference, just as the Big East was a tough conference. Very equally matched schools and competitive with Many, not All, P5 programs. Main difference besides TV contracts is There are not as many 4-5 star recruits on each team as the top 30 P5 schools do. however lots of 2-3 star players were late bloomers and had long NFL careers . You had better not sleep on many AAC schools.

Honestly, I'd rather have 2-3 star players than 4-5 star players.
A lot of those guys, esp supposed "5 star" players think they already should be in the pro bowl, and don't fight as hard to earn it. Think they should walk on campus, 18 years old, and start.
Yeah, I don't want those type of guys, frankly.

Yep...give me "3*" players that want to work hard-(we know this at Louisville) over hyped up "spoiled" 5*...

I think something to watch tonight will be the ratings that the Cincy/Houston game gets opposite the NFL game.
And I think that's something that ESPN/Fox will be watching as well.
