Supplemental Mod Election - georgia_tech_swagger - 09-12-2016 04:05 PM

The rules:
- GTS has already appointed Lord Stanley (who has been a mod on The Spin Room for some time) as a mod here by executive decree. It's good to be the king!
- You cannot nominate yourself
- A person must accept their nomination by a post in this thread to show they're willing
- I reserve veto rights if you try to get all Vermin Supreme up in here with your vote
- A second general election thread will be started if necessary, but typically people coalesce around one to three strong candidates.
- There is no set quota for how many I'll add. It depends on public support.

Also, if I may nominate a mod? NIU007 is a fantastic NIU poster as well who is fairly active. I think we'd make a great tag team, he's the yin to my yang 04-cheers

I appreciate it much but I'm getting very busy at work so I might not be on here as much. I heartily second (third?) the motion on Stay Cool though.

I'd also like to remind everyone to take this time to consider someone besides me who you all feel would make a good mod for the NIU forum. Even if i am made a mod, i cannot stay logged onto the forum 24/7 and that is where quantity helps to contribute. GTS has graciously offered to make more than one mod (if he sees fit) so do also consider second or third candidates too. This is our own little slice of the forum and we want it to be the best it can be, so let's help to make it that way. This is our opportunity to speak up and be heard by the gracious site admins.

Also i won't build any walls if i am made a mod. Promise.

Bleeds and HMM still login regularly. And I added Lord Stanley. I did however remove dynovinyl as he hasn't been logged in since February.

So you're not solo. But TBD on this thread if anybody else emerges.

He wasn't asked. If you haven't logged in in 6 months and you have mod credentials that's a security risk. When he returns I'll happily reinstate him if he feels he'll be around more often.

I nominate Stay Cool as well. I don't post much but have been on the board since 2003 so I believe I can spot a good Mod. I go on the board at least once a day, even in Colombia, China etc..., Stay Cool would be perfect.

I threw my name to GTS as well. I may not be a hugely active poster, but I am on here everyday and have moderation experience.

Edit: this is not me nominating myself, btw. Stay Cool and NIU 32 get my votes.
