Love that they quoted a 28-year old senior from WMU. Please, Van Wilder, tell me more about your views on higher education.

I'm in that age range and a senior at WMU.

I find it interesting like many were noting... WMU doesn't charge students for tickets like the mighty MSU and UM do... They know the kids will pay... WMU just builds it into its tuition. So in essence WMU still charges for events... It's just pre-paid.

I think UM and MSU charge the same type of "student activities fee" WMU does which includes things like athletics, as well as charging for tickets. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

Points to that Kent State has it correct. Lower your expenses by dropping the dead weight of football direct it that % proportion to MBB and watch your ROI sky rocket!

WMU de-emphasize football.

That is a terrible analogy.

Tons of WMU news on these sites. Gaining a solid following. Often post and tweet stuff that you guys have linked here. Lots of WMU News out there, Mdead is just lazy.

https://www.facebook.com/

WMU Sports Rag on Twitter- This news feed links to coaches, players, , announcers, , administrators, former players, recruits, MAC sites, WMU sites, Other MAC schools, WMU academics, etc.

A lot of WMU news that our pathetic media hasn't a clue about

Called the last 2 hoops verbals before any of our fabulous news organization. Had scores and updates from Europe before the WMU site or Mdead.

Called numerous football verbals before any news organization. Rivals most recent article is a month old.

Have done two interviews with Hawkins with two to come. Will likely have one soon with Brian Snider and Robin Hook.

The real irony is how receptive "most" WMU coaches and staff have been to this ........with one exception.

So tell me Fpersrod77, where are you getting your WMU news from.

You forgot your game day updates for the Dutch game, those were awesome!

FlushPersJeness77 is feeling threatened it looks.

I can totally respect your ability to offer up this information... and it is MUCH appreciated. Mlive just dropped us on our faces and David Drew was our last connection to the media arm that could possibly give us some sort of media pass info...

So, any insider info you give is VERY APPRECIATED...

I think it IS interesting though... that Hawk absolutely hates Fleck... and its not hard to come to that conclusion with his tweets and speeches about his own efforts to get funding for practice facilities.. And yet... some other coaches like Gernon, Murray and Clipfell seem to show support of Fleck and what he's doing... (albeit Gernon I only notice by his twitter behavior). As for Clipfell, I have seen him at multiple Football games and he loves the energy of Fleck, and his direction.

It is though.. kind of uncomfortable to think about Hawk and Fleck having to exist on the same campus, running the two highest revenue sports on campus...

RE: MLive Coverage!!! Oh wait - Moomba - 08-24-2016 07:40 PM

Hawk and the rest of the coaches all show great support for each other. Openly, in person, on twitter, in interviews, you name it.

Take the NCAA selection for baseball for example. All were there, in person or on conference call, with one notable exception.

Not sure why you come to the conclusion that Hawk hates Fleck.
