Different scenario....BK left UC after our big 2009 year. Herman stayed at UH after theirs. Not apples to apples.

Had BK stayed at UC I'm sure we would have kept winning...they guy was/is a phenomenal coach that forced UC in the limelight in the city and demanded people pay attention, which they did. When BK was here UC football was a hot ticket. He left and we have replaced him with two coaches that were both less than he was/is. The program has dropped.

7-6 and getting our arse kicked at USF and again vs SDSU, revolving door in the assistant/coord ranks, lack of preparedness for games, lack of focus and dumb penalties during game all says otherwise. Please explain why you think the program is better off now vs under BK?

Where do you want me to start? When BK was here, there was one place to practice rain, shine or snow-Nippert. Now we have Sheakley with two practice fields and the only indoor practice facility for football in the city. Nippert now looks like a real big time college stadium with suites, club seats, media areas and hopefully more is on the way. The weight room has been completely redone. The nutrition services and facilities have been completely overhauled. They were nonexistent when BK was here and the players ate crap with little supervision. A new player lounge was build. Academic services for the athletes are improved, and the recruiting budget has increased. The tech and video services are way ahead of what they were. We now have a much better clothing deal with UA.
You're bitching about one bad season on the field. Why do you think that coming off two BCS bowls we got passed over multiple times when the conference fell apart and now we're hopefully on the verge of getting out? Because the university has been building the program up which was seen as inferior to our peers in the BE during the last round of realignment/expansion.

You are correct in the program amenities....so I will concede there.

My gripe is the trajectory of the 'state of the program' which is downward. It's more than one bad season. Three years ago we played the worst FBS schedule of all time and won 9 games....woohoo. We have been killed in our bowl games all three years under tubs to underwhelming P5 teams. We have also had multiple what the heck losses. The amenities (Nippert, Sheakly, UA deal, etc. that you mention are great, no doubt.) The actual 'state of UC football' is shaky at best. This year Tubs better show something or I hope they kick his arse out.

It takes a fan with a short memory of the past to complain about a 9 win season! Not that long ago we hoped for .500 and a win over Miami.

9 wins vs a putrid schedule.....and then crap the bed in a bowl. If we were comparing this to pre 1993, sure but that isn't reality is it. We are comparing ourselves to the BK/Jones years and where we are right now sucks vs those years.
