ACC has made it nearly impossible for any team to leave so is SEC expansion dead? - B easy - 07-26-2016 06:25 PM

Is the SEC gonna wait it out for the next quarter century or so?

Lol. I think the SEC is doing okay. I don't think there is any immediate imperative for expansion.

No, I don't necessarily think so. Oklahoma is awfully damn attractive and may well be available.

ECU's available!

But seriously if the SEC really wants in to the NC & VA region then ECU & WVU are what's available at this point.

If ECU goes on a Boise like run then I could see them become someone to add to the eastern flank, along with a school in the west .... like Oklahoma.

Only the B12 is in a dire need of expansion. Now that the ACC is stable you have four stable P5 conferences. If the B12 wanted to sign a 20 year GOR with a new TV contract then they would be stable as well, but that isn't going to happen with the B12.

If the SEC isn't keen on taking the B12 assets, then they would be smart to sit tight for a couple of decades and then expand if they have a desire to do it.

The same for the Pac 12 and the B1G and the ACC.

The UT chancellor and president desire the B10 so if Texas did leave, that is where UT would be heading.

Where is your documentation for such a claim?

Posted info in a different thread a week or two ago. Not my problem you didn't take the time to read the info from Bobby Burton.

Utah and Colorado to the SEC so the SEC Network can have a 10:00 PM Eastern game; Alabama and Auburn head to the east, Missouri heads to the west:

Arkansas - Tennessee
LSU - Florida
Utah - Vanderbilt
Colorado - Kentucky
Mississippi - Auburn
Mississippi State - Alabama
Missouri - Georgia
Texas A&M - South Carolina

And of course it puts the Utes and Buffs completely in the four-letter network's camp.

10 pm games don't generate that many eyeballs. SEC don't need that.

No your state name is Sout Carolina we would more be like Auburn or Clemson with the name Carolina and there would still be North Carolina.
