RE: 2017 Football Schedule - Big Dee - 07-26-2016 08:25 AM Has the league thought about a 9 game conference schedule yet? RE: 2017 Football Schedule - ChattanoogaBlazr - 07-26-2016 08:58 AM Florida in Mid-November, might be a good trip RE: 2017 Football Schedule - jcduncan13 - 07-26-2016 01:50 PM (07-26-2016 08:58 AM)ChattanoogaBlazr Wrote: Florida in Mid-November, might be a good trip Me and a few friends are making that trip for sure. Wonder how long a drive it is to Ball State? Will try to make a road conference game for sure. About 8 hours mostly straight up I-65, except for the last 60 miles or so. RE: 2017 Football Schedule - Smaug - 07-26-2016 06:35 PM I'll go ahead and say it. Starting 3-0 is not unrealistic. Okay thanks. Might pass on that trip. Hopefully it'll be viewable on tv or online somehow. Starting 3-0 is not unrealistic. I'd say depending on our luck of the draw in C-USA, 4-0 or even 5-0 isn't THAT far-fetched! RE: 2017 Football Schedule - ATTALLABLAZE - 07-31-2016 08:46 PM I know we have some serious talent but right now we need to bolster each position as we are not deep. I want to see some scrimmages before I get crazy with predictions. RE: 2017 Football Schedule - Blazer4Life14 - 07-31-2016 10:20 PM Well, if I can't make it to the opening game, looks like I'll definitely be able to make it to the game at Ball State. 2017 can't get here soon enough. RE: 2017 Football Schedule - BAMANBLAZERFAN - 08-01-2016 02:45 PM "Not deep" means that our "scout team" probably will not have the speed, size or talent to adequately prepare our starters to play the other team's starters right away. We will have to adjust during the opening halves of our early games like we did when opening against Michigan State with only 60 or so scholarship players under Callaway. Alabama A&M may be the best answer for that problem. RE: 2017 Football Schedule - ATTALLABLAZE - 08-01-2016 06:58 PM The talent level will be night and day from that team. When we suit it up in 17 we will be close. When we suit it up in 17 we will be close. The 2017 Blazers will have at or near 85 scholarship players (compared to Callaway's 60+) ready for the field against Alabama A&M. BUT, except for JUCO transfers brought in this coming December, the rest of our players will not have played a down against another team's starters in two seasons. How well our own scout team will be able to prep them for those early schedule games remains to be seen. Eight hours and almost all interstate. I-65 to Indianapolis, I-465 east then north around the city to I-69 toward Ft Wayne. Muncie is about 5 miles east from the I-69 exit for Muncie. Ball State University (named for the glass canning jar company family) is nearly in the center of Muncie. |
