I gave that guy all sorts of **** over the years but I always respected how big a fan he was. I am very sorry for your loss.

Read this and my jaw dropped.
This is so sudden and out of the blue.....and certainly disheartening. Gray Avenger was one of the most loyal pro-Tiger posters I've ever encountered here in this forum, and we'll most definitely miss that here. I have a great deal of respect for the man that he is/was. My prayers go out to his friends and family who knew him best for their comfort in this tragic time.
RIP Gray Avenger, the .org won't feel the same without you sir.

Man, that's awful. My condolences to the family for their loss. Gray Avenger was about as passionate of a Tiger fan as you could find. This place won't be the same without him.

I am so sorry for your loss. He will be missed greatly here my many. He had a positive impact on hundreds of people who never met him in person but knew him well.

My condolences. What a great person. RIP.

RE: The Gray Avenger - Triple-T - 06-24-2016 10:09 AM

Wow, what a shock. We lost a really good one today. I loved talking Tigers with GA.

I still crack up when I think back to meeting him for the first time and him telling me that my shirt was "almost the right shade of blue." No kidding.

GA was a long time Highland Hundred member. Sometimes I wondered why I didn't see him much at HH meetings. He told me that he showed up when he thought he was needed. He said basically that when things are good, everyone shows up. But when things are NOT going good and support seems to be dwindling, that's when a real fan was needed and that's when he was sure to be around.

RIP, Ronnie, We'll miss ya.
BlueHomer, your family is in my prayers.

RE: The Gray Avenger - TigerBill - 06-24-2016 10:23 AM

If anyone epitomized Tiger fandom, it was your father. I will pray for him, you and your family. He will not soon be forgotten.

Sorry for your loss.

Ronnie and I sat together at Highland Hundred meetings for many years in the early 1980s. He was a great guy, passionate about the Tigers and a real cut up.

I feel sorry for anyone that never got to meet him face to face, although his sense of humor in person was what you saw in his posts on the board.

RE: The Gray Avenger - Tigerdawg - 06-24-2016 10:30 AM

My condolences to you in the loss of your Dad. I enjoyed reading his posts and his defense of the brand standards. He will be truly missed here.

I agree wholeheartedly.

It's going to be weird not seeing Gray Avenger posts.

God bless.

Tiger nation and this board grieves . I enjoyed his posts, and always backed him up on the blue and gray colors only brand standard issue. I will miss his posts.
