I still believe Caver will be more effective if his time on the court is more like the low 30 minute range vs 40 minutes. If Kithcart can get around 20 in a backup role maybe Caver can play 20 at PG and about 10 at the 2 spot. That would leave 20 or so for Xavier. Stith can play the 2 a few minutes if needed and I look for him to split time at the 3 and 4. Hopefully Godwin plays at least 20 minutes per game at the three. All of that will leave about 60 minutes of playing time between our new transfers, the two new freshman bigs and Carver. The big question in my mind is where will Wade fit in. I look for him to play but have no clue as to how much time he gets. I hope my math is not too bad and of course all of the above is just a gut feeling.

That is a good read on how things will most likely play out. I wonder how Caver will play off the ball - and it will be great to get him some rest during a game. He truly is an ironman and should be much more effective in a game with some rest.

Agreed - with two decent bigs, we should make the dance. Especially given the hits Middle and WKU have taken. I’m an optimist, too 04-cheers

I didn't see this posted anywhere, but Kalu Ezikpe is 7A All-State in Georgia.

Good one Petey!

Based on article in the pilot, it sounds like Vaughan is not going to be with us next year. All 3 of the other recruits will be on campus next month.

Still have an eye out for another grad transfer.

Though, Nevada is way over scholarship players right now (pretty ****** thing to do) so there is a chance 2 of their freshman bigs will have offers taken away.

Another one to Hofstra that could have helped us.

Not neccessarily true. They could take away the scholars of kids way down the in the rotation.

We recruited him before he went to Georgia. He likely has to sit a year. It appears we are looking for 1 year stopgaps because we have Ezikpe, Reece, and possibly Vaughan down the road. I don't think they want 3-4 forwards in the same class.

Johnson
Zouzoua
Henson
Amin
Hall
Brown
Thurman
Lee
Porter
Hymes
Harris

Who would they release besides the two freshman; Lee and Hymes? They have to either convince two of the 13 to get off scholarship or release those 2 freshman. The only other guys would be guys that transferred and sat out last year (which would probably be even shittier to do)...but Amin averaged 17 per game at Corpus Cristi and might be their worst guard. Or Hall, but he was the tourney hero so I can't see that happening.

This one. Doesn't mention Vaughn at all. https://pilotonline.com/sports/college/old-dominion/ed-miller/article_f316d700-6443-11e8-92e0-eb09024a1ded.amp.html?__twitter_impression=true

What was interesting to me is that another round of grad transfers becomes available after the first semester of summer school. Not sure whether those names are known to schools, or whether they'll be some surprises coming. Either way, I hope we're on them.
