Oh I know, but a lot of people don't.

My friend was trying to stream NBA games through Sling this weekend and it was awful. Kept buffering and the quality was ****. I told him to use his Sling credentials on WatchESPN and he had no idea he could do that.

I watch more than just ESPN though (actually, I NEVER watch ESPN unless my team is playing on it), so I still have to endure the shittiness of Sling if I want to watch TV. It is a nice first go at a streaming TV package, but their platform is not very good.

after internet, hulu, netflix, and sling you're basicslly paying cable prices unless you're trading accounts with people.

I was paying $180 a month to Directv. I pay $40 a month. Internet is irrelevant because I had high speed internet even with Directv.

Sounds like "cutting the cord " is costing about the same as cable for about the same level of service. Really less channels. With one difference....

You chose to pay that much ...you didn't have to. So you are comparing the top package at Directv with all the moveie channels and all the sports add-ons to a basic streaming service. That's makes a lot of sense.
