Now that sports are being scored that we field, UTA is finally making up ground. If the outdoor meet scores similarly to the indoor, UTA will hold serve with App. Given the poor performance in softball and baseball, UTA could (should) conceivably pass them there. Golf will be the wild card. I don't think there's enough to pass USA, especially considering both previously mentioned sports are way ahead of UTA. With stAte not sponsoring softball, they likely won't catch us. Texas State could, especially considering they won the women's indoor meet and seem to have our number in softball and baseball the last decade or so.

So what it means is that despite sponsoring the least amount of sports of any full-time member of the SBC, UTA seems to do more with less. We start women's golf in 17/18, so hopefully that will be some catch-up there.

I can't believe App is still in 2nd to be honest. App has not had a great winter nor spring. We do have OTF. USA has this in the bag this year at this point.

Could be because you're the only school that has a team in every sport.

Sure, but softball and baseball are not really helping. And some of the sports don't give many points even if a school wins the sports. MSOC and MTEN give a combined 13 points to the winner this year.
