I wonder if this will Twitter will post recruiting news? If it's the official one of the staff, that would probably be against compliance.

He's walking on there- was a UVA fan growing up. Who knows if he doesn't get playing time he could transfer to JMU at some point.

When you're young you should follow your dreams. I hope it works out for him. If he's as tough as his older brother I bet he makes the team, and if not, he's still at a school he's passionate about and can get a good education.

Pretty sure I counted 96 on the roster with 11 redshirt freshmen, so assume this is everyone unless some drop?
There is an FCS preseason exception that can allow up to 110 players to practice, but I've never heard of JMU using this. Believe NDSU does.

He is a player for sure.....his is sort of a tweener size wise/position wise at the FBS level. Like his brother he is very hard-nosed player, versatile......but may find it hard at the FBS level. Best of luck to him, but would not be surprised to see him transfer in the future.

Two more athletes to add to the list of who has disapeard from roster. Christian Harden (R-Fr) (6'4" and 205Ib) and Tristan Carter (R-Fr) (6'1" and 175Ib.) are both no longer listed on JMU's roster.
We did how ever seem to get a nice addition in Nick Carlton an incoming freshman (6'3" and 210Ib.) from Georgia at the WR position. Both Rivals and 247Sports have him listed as a 2 star athlete committed to Army. Signed letter of intent with Army so anyone know what happened there?

Looks like he had an offer from The Citadel as well. Coincidence? Perhaps our head coach's change of scenery was enough to peak the kid's interest. We need his talent though so I hope it works out.

I spoke with Braxton Westbrook's high school coach today. He said that he couldn't believe how amazing JMU's campus is. Good to hear from an outsider to Madison.
