AK in Mtown would kill it

RE: Andy Kennedy or Tubby is FINE BY ME - PlainTiger - 04-14-2016 12:20 AM

We might as well get both of them a raise while we are fooling around with this.

RE: Andy Kennedy or Tubby is FINE BY ME - lenetzach - 04-14-2016 12:22 AM

if we take Kennedy, I will hope for the best, but he is probably the worst choice remaining

RE: Andy Kennedy or Tubby is FINE BY ME - HiTiger - 04-14-2016 12:34 AM

Last time AK was here he was wiping the floor with us, so he has already killed it. That can be some kind of endorsement or pitch or something.

Hell no. Barnes was better at Ole Miss than Kenedy.

RE: Andy Kennedy or Tubby is FINE BY ME - AlonsoWDC - 04-14-2016 02:19 AM

I can live with Tubby. Maybe.

But I will not live with being the Georgia Tech to a program that cares so little about its basketball coach that they haven't fired him yet.

the only thing Andy Kennedy would kill is our hope for becoming nationally relevant again

Umm, no.

After rolling through Rob Evans' players, look what Rod did.

Then look what Kennedy did in his 1st year at OM with Rod's players:

1998–99 Ole Miss 20–13 8–8 T–3rd (West) NCAA Second Round
1999–00 Ole Miss 19–14 5–11 T–5th (West) NIT Quarterfinals
2000–01 Ole Miss 27–8 11–5 1st (West) NCAA Sweet 16
2001–02 Ole Miss 20–11 9–7 3rd (West) NCAA First Round
2002–03 Ole Miss 14–15 4–12 T–5th (West)
2003–04 Ole Miss 13–15 5–11 T–4th (West)
2004–05 Ole Miss 14–17 4–12 T–5th (West)
2005–06 Ole Miss 14–16 4–12 T–5th (West)
Kennedy:
2006-07: 21-13, 8-8 SEC West (2nd), NIT (Second round)

meh

Just a new cycle of Tubbyteers that will defend his every move until it's not vogue to, then turn on him like they all did on Pastner.

As opposed to those who won't even give him a honeymoon, and will post "I told you so" every chance given...

How about we find some middle ground and give him the benefit of the doubt? Trust, but verify.

Hey, I gave Josh all the goodwill in the world. I was fine with the hire. I also just called a spade a spade and when he was making STUPID moves (not doing offense/defense with guys with 4 fouls at the end of a game, not using timeouts...) I noted it.

I imagine Tubby will do just fine between the lines when the ball tips.
