And the "pulled game after game out of the crapper at the end" is a bit misleading. That insinuates that we were down and fighting our way back to make a comeback. However, In most of these games, we've had big to decent size leads, given them up, and then had to save the game dramatically at the end or barely hold on to win, instead of just winning it like we should have. That happens to all teams at some point. However, with this team, it's beyond a trend. It continues to happen.

Fouls were pretty even until the game was basically decided and we started fouling to extend the game. They didn't beat us because they dominated us at the foul line like they did MTSU. They beat us because they dominated the last 10 minutes of the game.

I won't lose any sleep over a game I figured we had no shot at winning. I had this as a loss. We are fine. Big game next week. We will get their best shot like we do every week now that we are the hunted.

I'm not necessarily surprised or upset that we lost this game. I knew it would require us playing a great game to pull it out. What upsets me is the way we lost it. If Tech played a great game and beat us, fine, but they didnt. It was lacidasical play on our part with the unforced turnovers and poor fundamental D that cost us. I believe this team is its own worst enemy.

Also, the refs had nothing to do with us losing this game. Whoever is saying that is crazy.

Hmmm. Amazingly right about the time our guys legs got tired. 10 minutes of extra PT coupled with the loss of an hour of sleep. Ha-ha was assigned to guard the guy that went off for 33. He was noticeably slow in the second half.

I had this one down as a loss coming in. La Tech is a good team and tough to beat at home. There were several instances in the 2nd half where I didnt think we played bad defense, they were just hitting shots.
Ultinately it comes down to the CUSA tournament and I like our chances.

Nick hit six 3 pointers in 11 shots. He also hit his first 4. So in the second half for Nick, plus all of the game for everyone else, our guys were 4-23. That is dead legs.

Well where you go to the paint, get hacked, and don't get the calls, you start settling for 3 point shots. Or you get caught with the shot clock running out because your bigs aren't getting open.
25 - 6 is out of hand. Tech had shot 10 more free throws that us before the last 2 minutes.

They were 18-6 going into this game and we were 21-4, so it's not like we are head and shoulders better than them. Add the fact that we were playing on the road and the result didn't surprise me. Would have been nice to win, but there's a reason Vegas had us as dogs.

Should have used Madison to guard McCree a bit. At least he would have to earn his points one at a time. And Madison should be the freshest of the guys that get regular PT.
