not the actual broadcast though. NFL wouldn't buy the tape. What you are watching is NFL films splicing and dicing to full you.

Max McGee is a legend and has one of the best sports quotes of all time.

Though the Packers took care of business, the Chiefs were an incredibly talented and well coached team.

The Chiefs actually looked bigger, stronger and more explosive, but Vince Lombardi was the GOAT and he had a veteran team that out smarted and out executed the chiefs all day.

I think the difficulty under the 1960's rule book made the passing game much more difficult, and the Chiefs threw the ball more than most NFL teams, the AFL did in general. The Packers were a old school run first and play defense second team, and they were the best in the world at it.

I think that gave them an advantage in this type of game in that era. Plus they had Vince Lombardi. lol

The Cowboys had begun challenging the Packers a lot in the NLF, and Tom Landry was very innovative and played a bit more liberally, and included a lot of pre-snap shifts and changes (something new at the time). The cowboys were becoming a truly great team, but Lombardi had their number still with his more conservative, old school style.

Didn't a Dude named Dave Hathcock, of Memphis play in this game for the Packers

Saw the beginning...really stopped watching when it was a series of NFL films play by play. NFL films are great...but have seen a lot of that.

Loved the beginning when the players...on videotape, ran out to their introductions, one by one.

Awesome.

I was born in 1966..,it looks like a million years ago.

I think I still have some thin ties hanging somewhere.

Saw the end of it...it's come a long way in 50 years. It wasn't even called the Super Bowl until Super Bowl III, I believe.

Not trying to fool anyone ... There is no tape from the original game ... Both networks that aired the game, taped over the game tapes; a common practice in the 60's .... The NFL worked at lengths to gather taped footage of every play to put together to form this version, and used the AUDIO tape of the game as a voice over

This article says there is tape of the game but its missing some of the 3rd quarter. Owner wants a million bucks and the NFL don't want to pay. Seems like should be nothing to them.
