And some have said they're ok with Coach Heacock leaving for Iowa State, we can replace him.
Between him and Coach Manning, who has already left, they've been the two most important assistant coaches we had the last couple of years!!!

I hope we do not lose him. Our defense next year is gonna depend on what kind of play we can get from our defensive backs. Lots of young guys. Anyone know if Cole is going to get another year?

UT has a lot of young talented DB's like Teachey, Covington. Along with
upperclassmen like Rogers, Johnson, Martin, Swift, Mathis, etc Should be fine.

IMO these coaches will be difficult to replace (in no particular order):
DC
OL
DL
Strength/Conditioning

Certainly there are fine candidates to be had, but all those on that list did an excellent job for our Rockets and will be missed.

Excellent Strength and Conditioning Coaches aren't hard to find.
I've got a couple of contacts that work with some of the NFL/NBA's top players. The problem is getting one for UT money. I was hoping at some
point UT would start an exercise science/athletic performance facility in conjuction with UTMC.

There's a former football GA who was the Head Strength and Conditioning coach at PSU and recently assistant strength coach at Georgia that pursued the position, but would have had to take too big of a pay cut. Would have been a great hire.

Sound like a good one.

I assumed it was clear that I meant it would be difficult for UT to replace them (with the salaries that they pay).

How'd they get the last one with the salaries they pay?

S&C Coaches salaries were lower 4-5 years ago. Of course like most employment, it is market driven. Top guys are making $300,000-500,000.
Wade was previously S&C Coach at Wisconsin-Green Bay, a school without a FB program. He knew Beckman while a GA at BGSU.

RE: Rocket FB :Defense Improvements - northcoastRocket - 01-02-2016 10:16 AM

In 2015, the Rockets D held their opponents, on average, to 9.0 points less per game, than the opponents season average. Only 2 teams scored above their season average against the Rockets. That is a stunning improvement over the last several years:

2015: -9.0
2014: +2.6
2013: -1.7
2012: -2.5
2011: +2.1

(where - is better than average, and + is worse)
