Have you seen how our defense looked versus WKU and Washington? I'm not sure we would beat Marshall if we played again today.

Marshall beat down Southern Miss that is why I listed them second and Southern Miss third.
Listing Marshall as 4th makes you seem like your not trying to be a homer. I watched the bowl game, its not that Marshall offense isn't good. Marshall OC just need to call better plays and take advantage of mismatches

Honestly, it doesn't really matter after MTSU until you get to NT and UNCC as they was the clear worst 2 teams in the conference

I am just not sold on our offense for 2016 or the OC. Sometimes we live in fishbowls and are our own worst critics. Hell, I'd love to boldly predict we'll win the league or our division, but at this point I can't come close to believing that.

But think about it, Is 5-7 Texas or 3-9 Georgia Tech or even Jacksonville State deserve to be ranked as high as they are.
Sagarin Rankings aren't the best rankings to us in my opinion

That's the rankings the NCAA makes him do, which only goes by win/loss. Scroll to the right and look at the "Predictor." That's the ranking that factors in the scores of the games, which is the more accurate ranking.

I guess the Third-Place MAC school is better than all the G5 conference champions.

In our defense, we were 6th in "bowl eligibility" and the last one out based on other teams winning in the last week.
That said, this is a "power ranking" and the sixth best team doesn't get blown out at home to 3 of the top four. Or go 1-2 against the middle 5.

I'm a fan of Massey and think that's a good rating. USM fans might like this one better although it has not been updated since Bowl season started. USM will probably drop to #3 in this one in the final ranking. Notice how we have that "middle 5" tightly clumped into 6 spots in the national rank. Really not much difference between 6-10 this year.
