Rights have not been sold yet. Reportedly down to two interested companies. Praying we don't GSU this and end up Huddle House stadium.

You'd turn down the money?

Short answer, no. Both Huddle House and Waffle House are Georgia originals. WH from Avondale, 1955 and HH from Decatur, 1964. Both are just a few miles east of Atlanta. I think Waffle House Stadium has more hippster panache, but Huddle House Stadium makes better sense for a football stadium. "Huddle Up!"; easy enough marketing. That being said I too would prefer a big local brand (Delta, Coke, Home Depot), or a rival out of state Fortune 500 type to make a bid as well (American, Pepsi, Lowe's). Georgia Power Stadium has a nice ring.

Will definitely like to make a game next year in the new stadium when GS comes to visit (was hoping to go the last time, good thing I didn't).
What would your preferred name be? 04-cheers

A lot of GS fans never want a corporate name, but I always thought that

Georgia Power a
Southern Company

Would be perfect.

I would not mind a sponsors name on Paulson if it's bringing us money. Georgia Power would be a perfect fit though.

Georgia Power ... sounds like a Dawgs thing.

Funny to think that the OP for this thread was by Georgia Power Company.

That was back 2 years ago when the naysayers were suggesting that the State of Georgia would flip Turner Field into a casino .

Hopefully you don't have to have a corporate name because the old man in me hates that.

Both the founders of Waffle House passed away this month. My understanding is one was scattered and the other smothered.

Somehow I think Waffle House is terrible and awesome at the same time. Terribly awesome, I guess. I honestly don't even know where a Huddle House is and haven't eaten at one in 15-20 years, so I can't compare.

What I've noticed is that Huddle Houses are inconsistent. One is good while another not so much. But Waffle Houses seem to be the same wherever they are.

Hate it as well but there is zero chance they don't pull the trigger on a corporate sponsorship for the stadium, the field and a bunch of other things.

Complete opposite in Conway. Huddle House is where you go if you want flys and cigarette ash in your food.
