I like it. Is it as good as a new built stadium? No. But it's so much better then playing in the Falcons stadium. It's like JMU's lopsided stadium but that's okay. Glad to see this moving forward and a future home being secured.

It's pretty awful

It's basically being gifted a P5 stadium. I will take it.

I think this needs to be said again, this wasn't a rendering of any sort, it's a placeholder on a map that was supposed to show off possible neighborhood designs. It wasn't even designed by GSU. This is not representative what-so-ever, and I think whatever the finished product will be well look very professional, very unique, but with all the bells and whistles of any stadium in the conference.

Likely better. Than any G5 stadium in the country.

Fairly certain just football; talk has been to build a new baseball facility on the footprint of the old baseball stadium, using the same home plate spot where Hank hit 715...kind of a cool recruiting tool. "Hey son, wanna stand where Henry stood when he broke the Babe's record?"

It's a stadium with infrastructure, suites, club level and corporate office space built for a major professional sports franchise. It's why I laughed at the notion of razing it and building an erector set on the north end of the property near the Capitol. The building is the prize. Becker and Co. may have been afraid of the upkeep costs of maintaining such a huge space. But it looks like cooler heads prevailed.

A new baseball park will be built across the street on the old footprint of Atlanta Fulton County Stadium.

This is what "house poor" looks like in college athletics.

Care to elaborate so that this seems like more than just a petty and ignorant comment from a GS fan?

It does seem odd to me that the Braves are so ready to get out of the neighborhood and GA State is so excited to move in.

What is s odd? The Braves constituency is North side suburbanites. That is where they are headed. GSU is being gifted a stadium barely 20 years old with only cosmetic upgrades needed. It's that simple. notice the purchase price hasn't been released yet. :)

If the Braves were allowed to develop the area like GSU is, they even said it themselves that they would have stayed.
