John Thompson III - fsquid - 12-19-2015 05:16 PM He'll probably be looking for work this March RE: John Thompson III - 450bench - 12-19-2015 05:18 PM Bring him on. He'd be solid here and he's got a lot going for him. Plus, he's not Josh. RE: John Thompson III - Tigx - 12-19-2015 05:19 PM Not a fan. Got the job cause of his daddy. Hasn't done much. Don't need a Dooley at Memphis. He's not Josh, thus by definition an improvement, but we can do better. RE: John Thompson III - fsquid - 12-19-2015 05:21 PM He's been to the final four RE: John Thompson III - southpaw1 - 12-19-2015 05:52 PM (12-19-2015 05:21 PM)fsquid Wrote: He's been to the final four Well. Besides that....and the fact that his teams are always disciplined and well coached. RE: John Thompson III - DallasTiger - 12-19-2015 05:54 PM After the hiring of Mike Norvell....you would think that we would know....we have no idea what is going on in the Athletic Dept. Lost to UNC-Asheville today, now 6-5 this year. Lost 15 games 2 years ago, and 11 last year. Final four was in 2007?, his first year. Don't need another coach living off someone's else's name/momentum. Maybe you guys are seeing something I have missed. But Hoyas run a slow-down offense, seems kind of boring. JT III seems like a poor in-game coach, doesn't make adjustments. I would be hugely disappointed if we looked at an older re-tread like JT III. RE: John Thompson III - TigerLogic - 12-19-2015 06:33 PM JT3 - No thank you RE: John Thompson III - HoopDreams - 12-19-2015 07:20 PM 317-157 RE: John Thompson III - Tiger87 - 12-20-2015 11:33 AM Just say no. He's actually one big time coach with a worse NCAA record than CJP over the past 6 years. Yes they are. Now what? RE: John Thompson III - HoopDreams - 12-20-2015 12:15 PM Underwood isn't realistic? Pffffffft RE: John Thompson III - UofMemphis - 12-20-2015 12:17 PM Underwood is a very good coach...and he only makes like 400k at SFA (even with his new contract) RE: John Thompson III - Bluebeard - 12-20-2015 12:59 PM Underwood would walk to Memphis for half of what Pastner makes. And he would coach circles around the guy too.
