Apps bowl game allotment - southcharlotteapp - 12-08-2015 04:49 PM

Our AD just posted on Twitter that we sold out of our allotment in 48 hrs, and have requested more. Just like GS fans said last week, "App does not travel well".

How much was the allotment?

3,000

USA got 4,800 last year and BGSU got 2k

Glad you got to it even quicker then me

How much does the stadium hold?

RE: Apps bowl game allotment - GaSoEagle - 12-08-2015 04:55 PM

I would expect App to do well with ticket sales. The 19th is clearly a better date than the 23rd. I hope all Belt teams sell a lot of tickets to our 4 bowls.

I would think App will sell more for Montgomery than we do for Mobile on 23rd.

If games were reversed we would sell more

You think so? Something tells me StinkNation is less keen to buy post-season tickets after getting shellacked at home by mighty Georgia State.

I think GSU's allotment is 5k for the Cure Bowl (read that somewhere); no idea if we'll get even close, but gotta think that Orlando on the 19th might even get a few down there...I'm going and I'm in North Carolina!

The post wasn't to start a competition. It was to answer to the allegation that Appalachian does not travel well.

Clearly with a game in the region, that is not going to be the case.

I don t think loss Saturday hurts our sales as much as game being on 23rd, especially since game is at night on 23rd.

If you don't think it's a competition, you aren't paying attention.

Well it wasn't to me. Still won't be. I'm not sure why there is internal strife as this is the time that we can all make ammends for the poor showing in OOC during the regular season.

Who cares which fan base travels more? Goodness gracious. I hope App sends more people than the stadium can hold and they beat the pants of Ohio.

RE: Apps bowl game allotment - GaSoEagle - 12-08-2015 05:03 PM

I guess everything is a competition between our 2 schools. It gets ridiculous sometimes.

Certainly not a close one. 07-coffee3

Stadium seats 25,000 for the person who asked

RE: Apps bowl game allotment - rokamortis - 12-08-2015 05:07 PM

What are the ticket prices and how do they compare with your regular ticket prices?
