This Week In Schadenfreude -- Championship Week - georgia_tech_swagger - 12-04-2015 08:18 PM

This week is merely an indulgence in Team Chaos. The normal rules are thrown out. We root for Team Entropy!

RE: This Week In Schadenfreude -- Championship Week - C2__ - 12-04-2015 08:44 PM

We can enjoy that Toledo got their ticket back into the major bowls and back into NY6 position but shredded it as soon as they printed it. Also, wouldn't it be fun to see Stanford, Clemson and Alabama all lose and the chaos that would ensue? Would the committee weigh conference championships and bypass teams like Ohio State? Would UNC and Florida creep into the picture or even Notre Dame?

It'll be fun to find out.

NIU is down to their fifth string QB, a true frosh, due to injuries. I don't think NIU will be blown out because they're a solid team, but I don't think they'll get by BG.

Bowling Notgreen appears to have this game in hand.

Why aren't they called Western Ohio and Western Kentucky not called Bowling Green? [Confucius asks]

Texas 17
#12 Baylor 0

RE: This Week In Schadenfreude -- Championship Week - Wedge - 12-05-2015 01:25 PM

Note to Charlie Strong: Maybe the 50-plus yard FG attempt is not such a high percentage play with your current kicker.

I predict that if Clemson beats North Carolina today and this score holds or gets worse as it looks like it may, that the term for gross choking "Clemsoning" will be removed from the college football lexicon and will be replaced by "Bayloring". Following the auspicious collapses either at the end of the regular season or in bowls the Bears will have surpassed Clemson in recent history for this ignominious distinction.

Good point, but I thought the term 'Bayloring' already referred to a school that fires a decent head coach and ends up with a much worse one that tanks the program.

No, that's "Nebraskaing".

Nah, you have to screw up a great year to get that label. Nebraska wasn't having a great year, and hadn't had one in sometime.

5-6 Georgia State 27
Georgia Southern 7
