How About Tulsa BB! - Atlanta - 11-18-2015 07:42 AM

Tulsa beat #9 Wichita St 77 - 66, & looked very good doing it. The AAC is going to be tough.

Big win for the program and conference.
I didn't watch. Was/is Tulsa that good? Was wsu down?
Can frank haith coach?

Looks as if they are deep and strong in the back court. Hard match up for us.

WSU looked good but Tulsa just played better. FH had his team focused and playing very well. WSU was in the game, score back & forth but Tulsa played with confidence & looked good, pulling away in the 2nd half. We'll have a tough time with a talented Tulsa team that plays hard & has an athletic quickness. Just like last year they have several guys who can score. Tulsa outrebounded WSU & had 4 guys in double figures scoring.

But I thought Haith only lived off his predecessors players and couldn't coach.

Well, in all fairness, Tulsa has NINE seniors and four juniors on the team.

He's only been there two years.

Yup, I don't think people said he couldn't coach...I think they say he cant recruit.

Either which, he's a Hall of Fame coach.

Correct. 9 of the top 10 players are all SENIORS.

This isn't "his" team.

Next year will tell the tale on Haith.

That's gonna be one hell of a senior day.

I predict Tulsa will go to the S16 and Haith will bail.

Except for Temple getting curbstomed, Tulane losing to Alabama A&M and USF losing to NJIT.

He won't be there if this team pans out.

Doesn't every conference have an occasional faux pas? I noticed that the SEC's Miss State (with their new big-name coach) lost to Southern this week.

Newman isn't 100% and they still have the same crappy players from last year. His 2016 class is ranked top 5 (Rivals/Scout).

Speaking of Southern, I wish we had Calvin Godfrey back this year.
