I thought those helmets were a one time deal for homecoming? Like the all black uni's.

If that's the case it may be the sharpest uniform combo they wear all year. I love the black jersey - black pants combo and I thought the helmet looked absolutely great on TV.

I would support wearing the helmet either for all home games this season or for all games this season to celebrate the return/re-opening/upgrading of Nippert.

Jesus. Player's choice or not they're still ugly as sin and look like airbrushed shirts on the clearance rack of a rural Walmart.

I'm weary of everyone wanting to be Oregon-lite.

Just give me the traditional black helmet with the C paw on it a minimum of 10 games a year please.

This I agree with.

I think they're awful but if the team likes them more power to them. I thought it was funny the pa announcer was saying these were a tribute to the iconic architecture of Lindner Center when they were trying to sell them. Linder Center is just over 10 years old and has been ugly since the first day it opened. There's a few buildings I'd call iconic on campus but Lindner Center ain't one of them.

The buildings on campus I'd call iconic, historically or now:

Tangeman University Center
McMicken
Campus Rec Center
The DAAP Complex
Dieterie Vocal Arts Center
Steger Student Life Center
The INSIDE of Lindner (The inside is absolutely Beautiful. The outside is iconic just because of it's location behind the East stands of nippert.

I did not like the helmets from the pics. I saw them in person on Saturday, at the UA mobile center. The helmets looked nice in person. Apparently, each one was hand painted. I thought the uni's, in person, looked fantastic. The pics do not do them justice.

I was at homecoming....sitting in a poncho and loving every second of being in Nippert. I could care less what the uniforms look like at this point...just happy to have come home. Go Cats.

Didn't feel like making a new thread for it but there's some moderately interesting videos about their arrival and the game on UCF's twitter

Also, I thought I saw on the UC twitter that if you still have your coaster certificate from last week you can redeem this week in case this interests anyone.

Based on weather prediction, I'm guessing this will again get bumped.
