Thursday Night in NC - solohawks - 10-18-2015 06:49 AM

Two huge games being played in primetime this Thursday night in the old north state.

App St hosting Ga Southern with 1st place in the sunbelt on the line and ECU hosting Temple for 1st place in AAC East. Not too bad for a basketball state

Has there ever really been a meaningful North Carolina game with ACC schools?

Outside of the acc championship game in Charlotte i cannot think of many regular season games with conference title implications. During browns tenure unc hosted fsu in a matchup that determined the conference champion

Also had a big part to play in the national title discussion — both teams were ranked in the top 5. Likely the biggest and most anticipated game in state history, and at the time, the 62,000 attendance was a state record (I believe it still is).

That said, Thursday's twin bill should be fun on a bun.
