TV for Saturday's game? - Bathtub Gin - 09-08-2015 11:31 PM

Just wondering if this game will be available on tv like last week, minus the awful announcing and no HD.

Yeah, I particularly enjoyed the play-by-play guy on last week's broadcast, that was talking about how many "Memphis area" players are on the roster and he referenced one guy from Olive Branch and said, "Olive Branch is just across the river". 03-drunk

on watchespn which means it can be on your tv with either a Roku, AppleTV, or similar device. Guess you could hook up an HDMI cord to your TV too.

and if you subscribe to the extra ESPN channels you can watch on TV.
I will be hooking up my laptop to the HDMI cable and watching on a 47 in TV. Not bad.

With all due respect. That guy was Joel Meyers who use to do play by play for the Lakers, and currently is the Pelicans s Play By Play Man....Probably not use to calling football games..

So if I buy a Roku, I can watch any games that are on "WatchEspn"? Regardless of my ISP or satellite/cable provider?

No, you either need an ISP/Cable Provider that offers it or pay for the SlingTV service which I think is $19.99 a mo but I'm not positive. Roku just puts the interface on your TV vs having to hook up your comp to a TV.

to futher complicate things, ESPN3 requires a participating ISP and includes only games marked as ESPN3. WatchESPN requires a participating cable TV service and includes all ESPN content including ESPN games. SlingTV would be a WatchESPN service I believe.

That means that it is set up as your second monitor. You need to go into display settings, and tell it to mirror your desktop.

Alternatively, you can drag a window from your laptop screen to one side and it should pop up on the other screen.
