Another attack on a Woman by an Athlete. Get rid of the Trash ! I'm sorry but any Guy that punches a Woman once is wrong but multiple times is outrageous. Punk A$$ needs to be Curb Stomped then dismissed by Teammates. Enjoy a cell with DeAndre.

WTF is going on at FSU?

RE: BREAKING: FSU suspends Dalvin Cook indefinitely... - TerryD - 07-10-2015 06:04 PM

Time for some team dismissals and school expulsions.

That goes for any player who conducts himself that way on any team, including the one I root for.

RE: BREAKING: FSU suspends Dalvin Cook indefinitely... - ChrisLords - 07-10-2015 06:49 PM

VT had 2 players kicked off the team today.

Shai McKenzie who was an up and coming tailback until he tore his ACL during the season last year was indefinitely suspended from the team for having sex with a 15 year old and has to serve 15 days in jail (Marcus Vick never went jail for the same offense)

http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/13232573/virginia-tech-hokies-running-back-shai-mckenzie-sentenced-15-days-jail-consensual-sex-minor

And CJ Reavis who was the projected starter at Rover and expected to start for 3 years and challenge for the All ACC team is no longer enrolled at VT for offenses that were undisclosed for privacy reasons.

The VT player was lucky....it was only 15 days.

This is not an excuse, but this stuff happens. It happens in the general student population and in the non-student population. FSU is just under a microscope and media are still snooping around Tallahassee for any story they can get. And when one happens, it becomes major news (which is demonstrated by what ChrisLords said about VT and how that hasn't made much news). It's easy to say they should be more wary due to past events and because of their status as athletes, but when I was that age I may not have listened to that advice either. Obviously breaking the law and violating team/school conduct policies will have consequences.

I have to agree with ms here. This stuff is happening everywhere and likely always happened. It's just newsworthy because of the 24/7 news cycle and athletes are under the microscope more than ever.

I was talking to someone about that today. When VT was winning 10 and 11 games every year, every little thing that went wrong was a news story. Now that we're winning 7-8 games a year, no one cares.

The same thing for UVA. There were off field incidents at UVA that made the local news but were never covered in the national news or on websites. It's only news if your team is good.

I have a friend that sent me a list of Florida State's main rivals. He listed them as follows:
1.) Florida
2.) Miami
3.) Clemson
4.) Women

Stuff like this happens because the leader of that program tolerates so much nonsense that it continues to escalate until it finally comes to a boil.

It is all good though. By the end of this week their fanboys will all convince themselves that "the ho deserved it" for one ridiculous rationalization or another.

I believe the SEC leads all conferences in arrests but you'd never know by listening to the Finebaum show. FSU was their main threat to contend for a title so their fans act like whatever going on at FSU is such a travesty.

This is a good and ,at the same time, terrible website that tracks arrests by sport.
http://arrestnation.com/category/college-football/

College football had 246 arrests in 2014

Winthrop lead the nation with 16

The top five teams with the most arrest were

1. Winthrop 16
2. Georgia 13
3. Missouri 12
4. Tennessee 11
5. Texas a&m 10

4 teams tied for 6th with 8
6. Oklahoma state
6. Kentucky
6. Ole Miss
6. Washington state

FsU is tied with 11 other schools for 9th place with 5 arrests/citations/charges

Way to go campus security and Tallahassee PD! Two organizations dedicated to keeping the Noles eligible.

Please. Lsu had 4 arrests last month alone. ESPN just doesn't cover them in detail.

Meyers gators had 31 arrests in his 6 years. If ESPN covered them like they do fsu they would have always been on sportscenter

Johnson is gone and deserved it. I'll wait for cook to have due process before I assume things based on allegations

No more bars for the football players. Even if your over 21. Social media is everywhere. This is going to be a tough one to backtrack from. Is FSU going to say at some point in the future that players are allowed to go to bars?

It's probably just temporary to send a message. How can media slam them for pulling back later? No schools do this

RE: BREAKING: FSU suspends Dalvin Cook indefinitely... - Marge Schott - 07-11-2015 10:35 PM

It's a toothless ban that appears to be a weak PR attempt.

Speaking of weak, JR's flame was as weak as they get.

I find it totally crazy that as an old, racist woman you would try to fluff this off.

Go to arrest nations database and educate yourself

Fsu has 17 arrests in the timespan of 2010 through 2014. You know how many Pittsburgh has? 17.

So stop with the holier than thou attitude

RE: BREAKING: FSU suspends Dalvin Cook indefinitely... - Dr. Isaly von Yinzer - 07-12-2015 11:39 AM

Apples and oranges.

Unlike you, we don't control our town's economy. Every single one of our kids that deserves to get arrested gets arrested. Then they get a column by a local newspaper writer indicting the University itself. We don't control the local media either.

Your kids skate on the edges left and right and are only arrested when there's a video or a lot of witnesses. And when they are caught there will always be a reporter on hand to defend the program and/or attack the girl in some vicious way.

Fisher is a typical southern charlatan. He by golly's and dag nabbit's you to death. It's all phony BS. Dirty coach, dirty program. Good program, but a very, very dirty program and everyone knows it.

I think you guys are right. You probably do belong in the SEC.
