Chris Christie announces ... - UConn-SMU - 06-30-2015 05:36 PM

I thought MSNBC said he was going to jail for the bridge thing. I guess a full year of using that as their lead story didn't work out so well for them.

Christie has pissed off conservatives. I don't know if he'll get them back.

The attacks served their purpose: Christie was viewed as a legit potential-president before, and now he's not. "Bridgegate" was never about anything else besides that, nor was it intended to be.

Stranger things have happened, but right now I think his only chance to get the nomination is if Jeb Bush dies in the next 6-8 months. And even then, I'd still bet against it.

I'm no Christie fan, but he's in better shape now than McCain was in 2008. Christie can win in New Hampshire, or at least finish second. If that happens, he's in the top 3 and very alive.

As of now, I'd like a Kasich-Rubio ticket. That may change.

The dumb Reps are killing themselves with so many candidates. It reminds me of a movie about Pancho Villa when someone tells a General wannabe, "all you Mexicans want to be Generals". Same thing with the Republicans they don't realize that they're shooting themselves in the foot by their egos.

Any of them are better than the two socialists, Hillary and Sanders.

Christie's stick just doesn't play well outside the northeast. For some reason NJ folks like arrogant, abrasive personalities. The rest of the country, not so much.

I'd even take Rubio-Kasich if I had to. 04-cheers

Northeasterners hate people who don't tell it straight. If you try to sugarcoat something, they'll get irate. They don't like anyone to waste their time. Just tell the truth as succinctly as possible and then move on.

And most of all ... don't try to B.S. them.

This

He's a loud mouth and most of the rest of the country considers that a strong negative.

Most of us agree that he who speaks constantly and the loudest knows the least.

Put him next to Trump on stage. Best birthday present ever!

I'd pay to watch that.

If Trumps on, they'll get decent TV ratings. That's not easy for a political debate more than a year from the election.

I think Rick Perry is the only candidate currently under indictment

Yeah, Hillary's going to have a rough go.

The libs in Austin do this every once in a while. They made stuff up about Tom Delay and now they're doing it to Perry.

It's a little like what the corrupt Dems did to Alaskan Senator Ted Stevens.

The left does this stuff a lot ... the end justifies the means.
