Football seat selection process - ETSUfan1 - 06-26-2015 03:14 PM

Will everyone that has gone already, explain how the process went. Do you get your tickets before you leave? I have my selection early on Monday.

I walked up, told them who I was and she showed me what seats were still left available to pick. They gave me a folder with my tickets and a few promo things. We also had the opportunity to buy parking passes at that time.

Yes I received my tickets right there. Of those available I showed them the ones I wanted and they took me to the press box and gave me the tickets corresponding to those seats and they put them in a packet and you go home with them in your hand. They said the parking passes will be mailed out in the future. It worked well but it does require that you be there at a specific time on a specific day.

Does someone accompany you around the stadium, or do you walk and find your seats yourself?

There was a person there with me but she was only showing me my section and what seats were available and what seats were already taken. They were putting strips of green tape on the backs of seats as they were taken.

So, how did it go? Are there many seats remaining? Good ones?

RE: Football seat selection process - ETSUfan1 - 06-29-2015 04:27 PM

I was surprised how many seats were gone. Pleasantly surprised. Very easy process. Each person gets 15 minutues to find and select a seat. Only 600 or so tickets remain.

They must have sold a lot of tickets in a short amount of time. I was there at 2:45
and and only about one third of the seats in one {center} section had been
chosen.Ticket sales looked horrible at that time.

The center section is sold out.

Yeah - When I went last week, there were less than 3 total rows left in Gold, with a couple of two/three seats in the middle of rows here and there. It also looked like top down filled first. Silver and Bronze sections were also filled up nicely then too.

A shame that that the entire stadium is not sold out. If a dinkey high school of
2000 students [Dobyns Bennett] can sell out their stadium year after year, we should
be able to do the same.

Once again, there are only 600 tickets available, and the ticket agent I talked to was confident that they could see the rest of those before the season started.

RE: Football seat selection process - ETSUfan1 - 07-02-2015 11:28 AM

5,500 season ticket sales would be the most we have ever sold I would say.

RE: Football seat selection process - Efan - 07-02-2015 10:47 PM

No doubt. Sure, we've had much higher game attendance, but most of that was walk up sales. I'd say 2-3,000 season tickets sold would have been our previous record. We're about to blow that out of the water. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Even the Vols don't sell their place out, and they've always been the benchmark. I like attending FCS level games -- if you're there to see a college football game up close, that is. In the clouds ain't for me -- just turn on the flat screen, if you're looking to see a college game up close, that is. Anyway, East Tennessee State is a full/real college again -- and the new on-campus football stadium, where it's being built, will transform the campus.

Today is the final day in the lottery. I was late buying my tickets so I selected today. There were VERY few seats unclaimed on the home side but I'm pleased with my tickets. It was a great experience all around with friendly service from the AD folks. There are only 250 season tickets remaining and they will be having a little event this afternoon to try getting those sold off. Capacity for KTS is 6200 and 1500 seats are going to students and 300 for visitors. I guess that puts us below 5k in season ticket holders but it looks like we'll have a full house for year one. If you're in the area they have the official uniforms on display and renderings of the stadium. I still can't believe all this is real.

Plenty of good seats left to pick from in Section L on visitor's side for the cheaper seats. I got two on the top row today, 35 yard line.

Single game tickets go on sale on July 15th.

RE: Football seat selection process - ETSUfan1 - 07-14-2015 08:10 PM

Hearing that almost all tickets are gone.
