I'm excited. Can't wait for the season to start!!

I must have been in the bathroom the 6 minutes Lionel Love played at Home last year. Don't remember him playing at all.

I think he played some garbage time.

RE: 2015-16 UAB Men’s Basketball Prospectus - ATTALLABLAZE - 06-22-2015 03:39 PM

Played at Chattanooga as well.

This is the best roster ive seen on paper since 2011, still not a better paper roster than 2007. Im excited to see this team on the court. Hopefully this year will be better than 2009,2010, and 2014.

we should be better than all those teams, by a fairly big margin. Barring injuries or something, it's NCAAs or bust..

Dont wanna get my expectations too high learned from 07, that roster couldve put UAB in front of realignment.

Back to this roster hopefully we go ten deep so we dont lose anybody, since Haase built his roster around this 2014 class.

I hope im wrong but I could see Lee leaving after another good season and publicity from a game(s) in the tournament. He's the prototypical, modern day, NBA player. Tall, lean, long wing span, can play multiple positions, good shooter, great length and shot altering instincts..

We need players going pro early. The best pub you can get.

RE: 2015-16 UAB Men’s Basketball Prospectus - Big Dee - 06-22-2015 05:59 PM

We need Blazers in the NBA period, drafted or not that helps in recruiting. Also another thing that sticks out to me is Mo Finley got Smallwood here, Mo hasnt put on the green and gold in years. We need more of this whether camps or team drills get some guys back around the program passing down tradition getting support for bball like football had to. You never know Chad Frazier could one day steer a recruit to the southside as a token for not completing his senior season.

It is really strange that throughout our history, we have mostly had really good teams, but have never had much success getting players into the NBA. Even the great teams that Bartow had here did not translate into NBA players. I attribute it to good coaching and getting the most out of the talent you have.

Oliver played a couple of years for San Antonio in the mid 1980's. Ogg sat the bench for a couple of years for Miami and Donell Taylor sat the bench for a couple of years for the Wizards. Other than that, no one has stuck for any period of time. What Millsaps did this year for the Jazz is probably the most any former Blazer has ever contributed to any NBA team.

We've had some really good talent here too. It just doesn't always translate for whatever reason. One day somebody will get in and stick.

Squeaky is the only other Anderson era player to make it. Davis helped get Sharpe and Vaden to the league.

I still maintain that Walter Sharpe was the most talented player to ever wear the green and gold. Just had all kinds of issues that prevented him from reaching his potential.

I remember bringing the ball up the court at Parker and having point guard like handles, too bad he never realized some would kill for his type of talent. Also he got robbed his senior year for Steele Bama commitment.

Someone once told me that potential was an old French term for "You ain't done a damn thing yet, son".

In Sharpe's case it was a curse. Give me 5 PD3s and I'd take 5 Walter Sharpes.
