AState taking Sun Belt Record Guarantee for game at Nebraska - chiefsfan - 05-18-2015 11:06 AM

AState will travel to Nebraska to open the 2017 season for 1.6 Million Dollars, which is the largest guarantee in Sun Belt History...In the top 5 at the G5 level overall...

We've moved our road game with UNLV back to 2019 to accommodate the move (Still Host the Rebels in 2018)

We host Miami the following week tha tyear.

USA goes to Nebraska this year but I believe it's for just under a $1 million.

1.65 Mil actually...We were misinformed by 50K. Apparently the story we're hearing is that the selection committee is placing an emphasis on facing G5 teams that are near the top of their conference. Nebraska is paying both us and NIU pretty big guarantees to come there in 2017.

that's great, can only help the rest of the SBC when they negotiate future contracts with P5 schools, we also need to let the FCS fans see this who keep using the excuse that its too expensive to play FBS football, and its not worth the money to move up.

Mike Riley was the most befuddling college football hire since Gene Chizik, and by '17 they could be hurting and beatable.

I was in Lincoln in 2009 when we were playing then ranked #22 Nebraska

-To date has been the loudest, most electric football environment I ever witnessed
-Cornhusker fans are very nice and courteous
-Had a chance to tour their football facility (including their trophy case show room) simply incredible
-Ndamukong Suh might be one of the scariest and largest players I've ever seen in person
