Congrats to both! I'm very happy for each of them. Obviously it'll be a long shot to make the roster long enough for even preseason, but another step forward for Tyreese and Rob. And with my Lions, nonetheless! Great work, gentlemen. Hopefully our alma mater can put two more names in the league!

Sounds like Willie Creear is getting an invite from the New York Giants. That crazy high jump probably helped him get that.

No doubt. I think personnel folks look for overall excellence but they also look for players who because of speed (Bob Hayes from a couple generations ago), or jumping or amazing strength, etc. think might have more potential then they showed overall.

Maybe Donald Scott should have been a DB. He has a great talent, jumping, but not the best hands in the world.

Donald Scott is exactly where he should be, one of the best triple jumpers in America.

I haven't heard anything about Lincoln Hansen. I thought surely he'd get a shot.

Now that I think about it, he SHOULD be doing NCAA T&F instead of a looooooooooooooooooong shot at the NFL.

Like, dumb me, outdoor T&F and NFL camps happen at the same time...

If his career would have been injury free he probably would have been drafted. He can flat out play ball.

None of them will likely make it to the first preseason game and that is a shame about how far the talent has fallen off.

Also hearing Bronson Hill trying out for the Jets, Lincoln Hansen trying out for the Lions.

"Trying out?" You usually need to get invited by the team and signed.

Bronson has NFL measurables, but poor work ethic that isn't exactly a secret. If he goes in there and busts his ass, the Jets could be in for a pleasant surprise. Not many 215-220 pound running backs run sub 4.4 40's.

Players are invited by the team to "try out". If they're good enough after the 3 day mini camp they'll be signed. If not they're back on the street.

As far as I know none of these guys have been signed, they're all working out in hopes of it happening.

When was the last time we had seven guys get camp invites like this?
