I find it hard to believe there are only 8 teams worse than UConn. That seems really low.

I don't, based on the last 4 seasons. I am optimistic though that we can start to turn it around this year.

Ahead of 2 P5 teams...

How is Virginia football that bad? They are surrounded by talent, have strong academic credentials, a good conference, and a healthy-sized P5 media payout.

UConn are a bad team, but should win 4-5 games in a recovering AAC. I would have put them in the mid 90s overall.

They were 5-7 last year including beating a Louisville team that finished ranked and beat 2 other bowl teams. So that ranking does seem real odd.

UVA is losing all of their best talent this year.

...to the point where they are 14-17 points weaker than Tulane or Tulsa?

I'm sorry, but I can't buy it.

What's with the incessant self-loathing?

Anyway, the way he does this is that a projected 2 win team will be ranked behind a 4 win team, even if that 2 win team may be a little better. Virginia won't beat anyone ooc beyond Will and mary and they will be decided underdogs in every ACC game they play.
U Conn misses SMU and Tulsa this year, reducing their chance for a good record. (although they have a lot more room than VA does; and yes, they play us, the worst team in the world per you; of course we didn't play USF or SMU last year either).

Pre season polls mean nothing. I will wait for on the field results.

We're not the worst team in FBS. We're about 95th or so.

Going to Tulane from 2006-2011 (5 year M. Arch. program) really conditioned me to losing. I never saw a Tulane team properly win much of anything during my entire school career.

Just make sure you don't make ours blue/orange like Kruciff did for a while last year... 03-wink

Only by technicality for the tiger. I wish they would update it to "Tiger gold" like we have in other places. Our colors are blue and gray!

SMU is 117 I believe

Who assigned the OS as the guru's of preseason rankings, and what are their qualifications to provide any rankings that mean anything.

Anyone know if Paul Myerburg is going to do his big countdown? Last year he started on April 29th. We're less than 120 days away from the season now so he's already behind...

I was wondering that myself... Paul Myerberg is the magnum opus of countdowns....

RE: The 2015 AAC Football Countdown/Projections Thread: TBtimes preseason rankings - Kruciff - 05-11-2015 09:32 AM

This USF reporter has UCF finishing 6th of 12 in conference, and uses OOC games as justification? I can understand a drop off, and the potential is always there, but we have more pieces coming back than we did last year, including, most importantly, experience at O-Line which was the difference between at least 2 losses being W's.

Tulane makes an appearance in the OS.
