I like the helmets better because.....they're not last year's helmets.

I think the new uniform is a big improvement. Not crazy about the husky logo though. The helmet is a improvement over last year though. I think uconn needs to be on the helmet. Uconn is the brand not huskies.

I agree. College helmets should NOT just have a picture as the logo. Few schools can pull that off. Letters, numbers, or nothing at all have always been the way to go for those of us who aren't Texas or USC.
Believe me, I dislike having the S&C on the helmets here.

They can't - not allowed anymore. If there's any letters involved it can only be UCONN in all caps.
No C, UC, University of Connecticut, UConn, etc...
I still don't love the new uniforms, but they are an improvement from the last ones (especially the helmets). I also don't think it's a coincidence that they somewhat mimic the New England Patriots.

Agreed. The funny thing is that UConn wants to join the Big Ten and the Big Ten loves "letter" logos.

I don't know why the brain trust at UConn thought that "UCONN" would scream Big Ten more that being "Connecticut" and using the block "C". That way, "UConn" could have just been a nickname, not our school name. "Connecticut" sounds like a more serious institution than "UCONN".
