Time to end the 4-game losing streak to the Coogs, build on Sunday's game, and get the quality of play back on track. It starts tonight!

We cannot let Chris Inart beat us (.351, 11 HRs, 11 doubles/triples, 26 RBIs), and we need to keep both Survance (20-26 SBs) and Taylor (13-15 SBs) off the bases.

Not sure if that nickname is an atttempt to be funny but I doubt he intended to hit that batter or walk one. Not that a HBP is all that bad every now and then.

Third pitcher of the game for UH enters, and it's still just the 3rd inning. It's now Austin Moore versus Austin Ore.
EDIT: JWillie promptly steals second on the new lefty hurler, then Kirby singles him to 3rd. That's 10 hits for the Owls!! And at least one hit by every Rice batter in the lineup, 1 to 9. GREAT JOB, FELLAS!!

If you're a box score nerd like I am, take a look at this puppy before Wayne starts subbing guys out. Every box in the grid has a mark in it except three; only Lewis and Taylor haven't scored runs, and only Taylor has yet to get an RBI. That means out of 9x4=36 boxes, only 3 have zeroes. In the 3rd inning. Amazing. Way to go, Rice!

Orewiler gets through the 4th with no damage save plunking a Cougar named "Rice." That's 3 HBP for Austin, and with Rice up 8-0, I'd beware of a little retaliatory chin music this inning. Headed B4, Owls crushing the Academic Cornerstone, 8-0. Pedal to the metal, fellas!!
