Well that stinks.. But good for him. I wish him nothing but success at the next level if he does go.

barkers comment in other Kenny Brooks thread is concerning.

We'll be good no matter his decision, he built a program and a tradition of winning.

Is Sean O'Regan a viable replacement?

RE: Kenny Brooks interview rumors - BleedingPurple - 04-07-2015 11:27 AM

One day Nikki Newman will make a good coach if she decides to pursue it, but something tells me she'd work 'em to death. Just seems like she'd be a little bit old school.

Well better UGA then Uva I say. A school that will have little effect on our program.

I think JMU is a better job that Georgia... haha oh well.

No "haha" about it, it is a better job, except for the money.

Agreed but a school like Georgia has more potential IMHO where he has hit a bit of a ceiling here. We only lost 3 games all year and can't crack the top 25 or get seeded in the top 10 in the tournament. While our women's team is good, we've won 1 NCAA game in 20 years. Our facilities our old, the caliber of our conference has gone down, and we can only afford to pay so much.

In terms of what program is better:

JMU > UGA

Potential:

UGA > JMU

Can't blame him...

RE: Kenny Brooks interview rumors - DirtyDukes - 04-07-2015 12:20 PM

To clarify is he staying in the women's game?

If this pans out for Kenny.....this is the move that UVA should have made when they hired Boyle. But I am very happy that he go somewhere out of state if he is moving on. Can't blame him a bit.

Let's all remember that these are just rumors. Not everything you read on the internet is true.

Huge shoes to fill at UGA. Andy Landers is the only women's coach in the history of UGA with 850 wins.

Yea, I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

I hope that if he does leave, he won't be treated like Shaka was at VCU! We owe him a lot for what he has done for our women's BB program.

I couldn't imagine that at all. We've been lucky to have him as long as we have. Including playing time, what, nearly 25-30 years?

Best of luck to him, he would be sorely missed but remembered fondly in the JMU story.

When Brooks leaves, nobody will turn coat on him.

I'm not sure how to embed tweets but Jeff Bourne just tweeted the rumor is not true.

RE: Kenny Brooks interview rumors - DoubleDDuke - 04-07-2015 02:08 PM

I'm surprised he would address that on twitter, Jeff is usually pretty muted about that kind of stuff in the media.
