Western Kentucky just got screwed big time by CUSA.

Only difference is that the games that our league had moved for television will be seen by far more people. Many of those games were moved for CBSSN.

Sucks especially for schools that are not near job centers. Alumni have too far to go for a midweek game.

Not gonna say I really have any sympathy for them. They had bowl eligibility on the line against UTSA (no guarantee they would beat Marshall) and it seemed like there was less than 5k there. I'm not a good judge at numbers but it was a pretty pathetic crowd.

Their kettle corn is good though.

I predict that midweek games will suddenly become really cool.

Still beats Tuesday games though!

One home game moved to a Thursday and the other is for Black Friday. That's not horrible IMO.

Yikes

Yeah, nothing unusual about this schedule. 4 of 6 home games are on Saturdays, one on Black Friday which most people have off.

WKU has 5 home games, only 3 on Saturdays now.

Black Friday, fans and students are typically with their families which may or may not be near WKU.

Season ticket sales will be down I'd imagine.

Black Friday doesn't work well for many. Especially for less urban schools.

Black Friday is an urban school thing. For those of us not located near a major mall or retail district, it's a huge drain on attendance because everyone travels on Thanksgiving.

eh, USA desperate attempt to get one of the favorites as much tv exposure as possible. I thought quote about the lack of national TV exposure from the major tv nteworks for the upcoming year was the most important part of the article, remember their tv contract runs out, I believe next year, if this article is correct that doesn't speak well of them getting a solid contract.

I won't be surprised if CUSA comes in low or blows the roof off. Really comes down to what Fox has in mind. If they are going to use CUSA the way they do now, a bump if it happens will be small. If they want FS2 to stop being a joke, do more weeknights and beef up Fox Sports2Go then more money wouldn't shocking at all.

If they want the Big Ten contract they would have to get FS2 up and running more. CUSA and Big East along with some of the lower tier Big Ten games would be a nice mix for it.

Off topic but I'll add it anyway.

I reinstalled Fox Sports2Go this weekend to watch the second half of the Sporting KC game, Fox seems to have really improved the product. I had previously deleted S2G because it was slow buggy and unstable. It performed very well yesterday.

The Black Friday game seems to be the suckiest of the lot. Traditionally, I'd think folks would be out of town visiting with families (the ones they see only twice a year type)

But I'd actually like to know what WKU fans think of the Black Friday game.
