Who's this against...the state hs champ?

Hey that may be about our speed. Probably draw well.

I'm sure Fresco can get this done, he's amazing.

New England Bowl, Little Rock Bowl, Austin Bowl...Are we trying to get 12 bowls?

I figured with as popular as hs fb is in Texas if our #3 or 4 team played the HS state champs it may be a hot ticket.

A game at a P5 school nice. Although it is a better location city wise than most

Honestly, I doubt we sign up for more than 1. It seems to me Aresco is getting options, rather than numerous bowl games. I'm curious to see who the opponent would be for the New England and Austin Bowls.

maybe you can direct your bitterness to the man shaded in bold this time......

Chuck Sullivan, the American Athletic Conference’s associate commissioner for media relations, said only that AAC associate commissioner Scott Draper will be in Austin Wednesday on “football-related business.”

I like it---except for the stadium. A G5 bowl is going to look ridiculous in a 100K seat stadium like DKR. They'd be better off playing it 20 minutes away in San Marcos where the Texas State Stadium fits the purpose better. It would be really nice if we could lure the Pac-12 #8 team there and use CUSA as the backup (they have 4 Texas teams plus LaTech within easy driving distance).

eh - if I'm going to travel to all the way to Austin (which I would do btw for a bowl), I would want to be in a first classish type of stadium over rinky dink 25K seater place. jmo

It's in Austin. I think this is both a ploy to lure the. PAC 12, and to keep Texas schools happy.

FWIW the Texas St stadium is 30K and is a really nice very modern facility. Its only abut 20 minutes from Austin. That said, if the Pac wants DKR--then Im all for it.

RE: AAC Bowl Game in Austin? - ECMAN79 - 03-31-2015 09:32 PM

i did a typo at first......realized it was Austin and edited my post. either way - I've never been to Austin.....I've never been to San Antonio....whatever motives are behind all of this doesn't matter to me as I would love to go to either city for a bowl experience.

DKR is way too big unless Texas plays in this bowl. Austin is a nice destination. I'm with Attackcoog - play the game at Texas State in San Marcos. Have the rest of the festivities in Austin

San Marcos-New Braunfels-Austin is a great area with tons to do and see.

Such a better idea than Little Rock... Means it'll never happen.
