Last year I had 3 of the Final 4 (with only Wichita/UK swapped) and finished in the top 2%. I hardly watched the regular season.
This year I set a personal record for regular season games watched, and lost a final 4 and a sweet 16 team 3 games in.
So much for correlation.

I'm surprised to see Georgetown actually taking care of their first round opponent and with as much ease as anyone not named Kentucky. They've helped produce a lot of Cinderellas lately.

By raw W/L figures I didn't do that badly yesterday at 12-4. The problem is that those 4 who lost were chosen again many times in subsequent rounds.

That sounds like what happened to me when I won that CWS bracket pickem we did about 5 years ago -- didn't watch nary a college baseball game, yet won the pool.
As for this year, the lower right side of my bracket -- the South Region -- looks like something out of Sherman's playbook:

This is shaping up to be a fairly chalk-filled Elite Eight. We could have 3 #1 seeds, 2 #2's, 2 #3's and a #4. There wouldn't be a lot of years better than that.
