spring practice opener - KMR_NIU_13 - 03-03-2015 10:00 PM

Any word on who's running the second team offense?

RE: spring practice opener - shack66 - 03-05-2015 03:55 PM

In the photo on HW, it looks like Mac is back to wearing #9?

Yea I'd agree his running ability didn't show real well last year. They seemed to want him to be a Lynch type QB power runner and I don't think that best fits his skill set. I think he would be much better suited with a run pass option giving him the ability to improvise. I felt we looked much more in sync when he was out there too. I also saw this help Hare's running stats because he was thought to be the "passing" QB and therefore his running room was expansive. I guess you could say I'm on the opposite end and not really a Hare fan.

Yeah, I have not seen too much to be excited about with Maddie. He seems to have quick feet but not doesn't generate yards. Although, I think it may have to do with the deficiencies of his passing game. The defense knows a completed pass is rather unlikely, so they can key on the run.

So ya...um not a single article, update or blurb about spring ball since the first practice???

Has a schedule even been released?

They have been on spring break this week. Most likely an update coming on monday...you would think.

Ah...did not realize. Man that makes the start on the 3rd just odd. Maybe they just did the 3 practices without pads from the 3rd to the 6th?

The spring football guide posted on the football website includes a practice schedule.
