College Baseball Polls (w/o March 2) - waltgreenberg - 03-02-2015 09:17 AM

Perfect Game dropped us one slot to #21...

http://www.perfectgame.org/Articles/View.aspx?article=10932

...the Aggies are a total joke at #15. Sure, they're undefeated, but they've yet to play on the road, and the only team they've played with a pulse is Dartmouth, who have yet to be able to practice outside due to the snowy New England winter. They may or may not be a quality team this year, but it's impossible to tell. This week the Aggies will finally be test as they play a mid-weeker (at home, of course) vs. DBU, then face UH, Nebraska and Baylor at Minute Maid.

Of note, FAU entered the rankings at #25.

It's still early, but from what we've seen so far, UT has good, but not elite pitching, and a very inconsistent offense, while UH has it's best offense since the mid-2000s and a strong weekend rotation, but a questionable and still solidifying bullpen.

Down from #14-#15 in BA.

Interesting that, after this weekend, Rice moves up to #15 from #17 and Stanford moves down from #22 to "dropped out/others receiving votes". I guess the Owls wins were more impressive than the Trees wins?

I think this is the first update of this poll since the preseason (don't think they start weekly updates until March) so changes reflect up or down since beginning of season.

Well that would make more sense. Thanks!
