Sounds like a pretty good lineup that mixes current favorites and up-and-coming acts with classic artists. Hopefully, among the new acts, are the next Sheerans, Avett Brothers, Ryan Adams, etc. On a separate, somewhat related note, is the expanding stable of Memphis-based artists getting traction over the past few years. Hopefully we see many of them at musicfest if they aren't touring...

Ryan Adams was all I needed to see.

You had me at Diarrhea Planet.

Great lineup. The only worry I have is that they loaded up on Friday and Sunday and Saturday is fairly weak. Which is fine by me. Grizz will probably have a playoff game on that Saturday.

GREAT lineup. I just hope The Pixies & Flaming Lips don't play simultaneously.

Typically, they put similar genres on the same stage. I'm guessing the Pixies will play before the Flaming Lips.

Every year when the line-up comes out, I feel about five years older...

RE: 2015 MIM Beale St Music Festival Lineup Announced - KRB - 02-25-2015 03:40 PM

If Fogerty is referring to his concert at Mud Island, my oldest daughter who was pretty young at the time took me for my birthday. Fogerty has been in and out of Memphis a good deal though. He was tight with the Phillips, and he took many a trip down into the delta. He said that Memphis was a good place to lay low.
