IF we go 21-10 and win 2 in the tourney, I think we'd get in....tough task though. At best, I think we split the 4 and win 1 in tourney. 20-13 and NIT bound. They are close to being good though....add the Lawsons and everybody else comes back?.....good things ahead.

I expect Memphis to beat both Tulsa and SMU at home.

I don't think everyone is coming back though. Could b addition by subtraction though. As long as Austin stays we should b to fine. If u put the Lawson's with Austin,Markel and an in shape kedren that's a solid core. I don't know about King, Shaq or pookie coming back though. I'm not sure if the Broddie kid will help at all. Prob need to find another guard to transfer in at end of year. This team seems to have five or six guys who can play but Cunningham, Hawkins and King have been disappointments. I wish we would stay away from jucos but it seems since we are not in on any top guards that would help immediately we may go that route again. Would b nice to find a grad transfer who would just b a solid player and take care of the ball. We will have a nice front line next year just need some consistent guard play. I'm optimistic about next year though. The front line of Nichols, Dedric and KJ should be pretty potent. Markel and kedren at the one and two. Atleast there is some hope next year will be a top 25ish team. I guess we will see how it plays out. I agree tbough good road win today. Need to take care of SMU at home and this team can win the conference tourney. No real dominant team in the league this year.

I dunno what u saying bro. I've had a few this cold Sunday so I just got a little long winded there. Sorry if it made no sense. I like our core next year just think we need some depth esp at the one and two spots is all I was trying to say.

1-1 in the AAC tourney
21-12 overall
Still not good enough to get in the NCAA, I don't think. If we can manage to go 4-0 to close out the regular season, then things get very interesting. And, of course the biggest wild card would be if UConn were to win the AAC Tourney...if that happens, all bets are off.

Think we gotta win the conference tourney to get in even if we win out our resume isn't good enough. I don't think that's unreasonable though. We can play with everyone in the league. We seem to be playing our best all late. With Kedren and Markel getting better every game and Austin is prob the best player in the conference we got a shot to win it. Good news is UCONN is bad some it's not like the tourney being there will b an advantage to anyone. Should be a good tourney we need to get that first round bye though and just win a couple in a row. Definitely possible.

Per rpiforecast.com, if we win out in the regular season, then win twice in the conference tournament against, say Cinci & Tulsa, but lose the AAC tournament championship against SMU, we would be 23-11 with an RPI of 32 and a SOS of 36. That's a lot of ifs, but with that record & RPI numbers (yes the committee still uses the RPI) would make Memphis a strong candidate for an at-large bid.

I think I'm one of the more positive fans around even during this not so great season, but I don't think we will win out. I'm really just hoping to go 2-2 and will be extremely happy with going 3-1 for these last 4 games.

I too hope we win out but given we can't hold leads of 10+ against Temple, UConn, UCF, lose to Tulane at home, not competitive at Tulsa, etc, there's not much substance to the hope.
