RE: Republican Voters Responding to Walkers Opposition to Knowledge. - UConn-SMU - 02-12-2015 09:03 PM

Universities today are just liberal think tanks, intent on pumping out as many young socialists as possible.

I'll take practical knowledge & common sense over academic knowledge any day.

What did William Buckley say? I would trust the judgment of 12 people picked at random from the Boston phone book over any 12 members of the Harvard faculty.

In no way am I comfortable about thinking with an agenda.....

Guys this was satire, but reading these comments. holy moly.

I don't want to get another warning from a moderator for criticizing ones intelligence. Let's just say we won't have to worry about some of you splitting atoms any time in the near future. If you were Iranian Mossad would want to keep you around. Your mere presence would keep their nuclear ambitions in check.

that's too funny.....

when one has to worry about the above.....

well????? .....birdies don't like that coup....

it's only the internutz.....

it's not too difficult to understand personality when the fingers flow down the tarmac....

I like easy landings.....If da biatch would only answer the phone now.....

There are comments? Where are they?

RE: Republican Voters Responding to Walkers Opposition to Knowledge. - EverRespect - 02-13-2015 09:35 AM

So the guy was offered a high paying job and took it instead of finishing his last semester. He got to where he is today without needing it. And because of this he is opposed to knowledge? The guy isn't my #1 choice, but this is ridiculous. Find another angle if this is all you have. Better yet, why don't you liberals unite with us conservatives in opposing Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton so we actually have a choice.

Anti-knowledge, anti-science knuckle-draggers seem to be slightly more informed on science. Who would've thought?

So you were hoping for comments and had this post ready to paste and lacking said comments just couldn't refrain from posting anyway.

Criticize others intelligence indeed. 03-lmfao

RE: Republican Voters Responding to Walkers Opposition to Knowledge. - Machiavelli - 02-13-2015 09:52 AM

read posts 3 and 4. Then read the article.

Intelligence indeed.

and then....

this was AFTER I said it was satirical in nature!!!

Yeah, Mach.. i'm confused, I don't see any comments on the story page? Or are you claiming the comments here? Cause I'm not seeing too many.

RE: Republican Voters Responding to Walkers Opposition to Knowledge. - Paul M - 02-13-2015 09:58 AM

He was talking about here. They are sorely missing. He is seeing things again. 3 and 4 rate "reading these comments. holy moly."? Really?

RE: Republican Voters Responding to Walkers Opposition to Knowledge. - Machiavelli - 02-13-2015 10:00 AM

Satire.....

Funny......

People laugh.......................

This group backs up the sterotype! Lordy Folks

RE: Republican Voters Responding to Walkers Opposition to Knowledge. - DaSaintFan - 02-13-2015 10:04 AM

Mach, i think we knew the article was satire. (I've read a few of Borowitz's items.. he's hit and miss for me, just depends on what kinda mood I'm in )

Paul hit the nail on the head... we were referring to your "Holy moly" comment. I mean really UConn posts something and it's "all these comments"? Has the standards for "extreme comments" sunk that far?

RE: Republican Voters Responding to Walkers Opposition to Knowledge. - Machiavelli - 02-13-2015 10:07 AM

You would not have had those comments if they knew it was satire.................. That's painfully obvious. I couldn't let it go longer.

It was supposed to be funny. As in we all laugh about it.

UUUGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RE: Republican Voters Responding to Walkers Opposition to Knowledge. - Machiavelli - 02-13-2015 10:08 AM

Satire..... funny............. laugh................

I need the head banging against the wall icon.
