C-USA meeting unlikely to resolve big issues - UABGrad - 01-25-2015 10:56 PM Really good news here http://www.tennessean.com/story/sports/college/mtsu/2015/01/25/mtsu-conference-usa-meetings/22322817/ RE: C-USA meeting unlikely to resolve big issues - EnviroBlazerD - 01-25-2015 11:20 PM Well, if we play our cards right, we would fall into the category of "working toward that goal," if you ask me!! RE: C-USA meeting unlikely to resolve big issues - Dracorex - 01-25-2015 11:37 PM If they don't vote on it, we're done in July. We can't be members of the conference without football. RE: C-USA meeting unlikely to resolve big issues - UABGrad - 01-25-2015 11:41 PM Quote:Massaro said a final decision on UAB’s future in the league probably would be made at C-USA’s spring meetings in June. RE: C-USA meeting unlikely to resolve big issues - mixduptransistor - 01-26-2015 12:10 AM So essentially they are giving UAB a chance to reverse the decision, even with the knowledge that UAB will not field a football team in 2015. Makes sense and gives the review group another data point that they can pretty much count on. RE: C-USA meeting unlikely to resolve big issues - Native Georgian - 01-26-2015 02:10 AM C-USA is basically saying that UAB needs to put a plan on the table by June. A plan to bring football back on some sort of defined time-frame. 2016 or 2017 is my guess. RE: C-USA meeting unlikely to resolve big issues - the Dragon - 01-26-2015 08:47 AM I hope that CUSA officials will say those words to UAB officials and maybe even publicly: "You can stay in CUSA IF you bring back football in 2016." |
