Hmmm still no ECU or UCF. Interesting.

Maybe see one of them in the title game should we be so lucky and good.

Not a big deal (like the double away years at Charlotte in hoops a decade ago), but mildly surprised we play at Temple again. But good for me, love that road trip!

I assume that the 2016 schedule will be the same but in reverse locations?

Nope, we'll be in the BIG12 then.

Nah, it will be loaded with Big 12 teams... 02-13-banana

They have the 2016 out, too.

Might as well post 2017 and 2018 also.

Wish we played Cincy every year. Don't like that they aren't on 17-18 schedule. But it probably won't matter, they'll likely be in a new conference by then. Hopefully we are too.

Looking forward to trip to Navy in a couple of years. Haven't been there in about 35 years

We will see one of them in the conf champ game. Better hold it at Crump or MUS though..

So next year we have at home

Ole Miss
Tulane
Navy
SMU
Cincinnati

I'm guessing we'll pick up a buy game somewhere? I like that we play Ole Miss late instead of early. Having Ole Miss and Navy should help our attendance numbers.

I think we have Missouri State at home next year.

RE: 2015 Football Conference Opponents - 3601 - 12-18-2014 02:43 PM

We should be in the thick of the West Division race the next two seasons.

It sure will be nice having a returning starter at QB. Danny Sparkman's last year was 1985. Take out the Wimprine years and in the 25 seasons since 1985 we've had 20 different leading passers in 25 seasons. Only Tim Jones, Keith Benton, Steve Matthews, Martin Hankins and Paxton Lynch led the team in passing multiple years (and each of those five led the team in passing only twice).

Lynch has the chance to join Lloyd Patterson and Danny Wimprine as the only guys to lead the team in passing four straight seasons.

So, of the away games, which one is the best road trip??? Went to the Tulane and Ole Miss games this year and had a blast.

RE: 2015 Football Conference Opponents - Atlanta - 12-18-2014 02:57 PM

Aside from the weather the Temple game was surprisingly a good trip. Stayed at the Marriott Courtyard within sight of the stadium, it was fabulous & reasonably priced then saw all the historic sites in Philly on Saturday.

RE: 2015 Football Conference Opponents - okcomputer76 - 12-18-2014 03:00 PM

Interesting note: after googling the P5 conferences it appears the BIG 12 is the only one of the five that doesn't have conference schedules past next season announced. The SEC has its schedule set until 2025 but the BIG12 must be holding off for something. No idea what that could be.

RE: 2015 Football Conference Opponents - mikeybmemphis - 12-18-2014 03:08 PM

Given our division mates I think we've got a pretty decent chance at ending up in the Championship game, and probably a better chance of hosting it considering most of the other "better" teams are in the other division and will beat up on one another.

The only ones I'd look at as losable (given we play like we did this year) are @ Houston, and maybe vs Navy since you can never really count them out. Tulane will be better, but I don't think enough to beat us at home. Excited for next year already!

Someone in the AAC office really likes Memphis. You are in the west and don't play UCF or ECU in 2015 & 2016. That is a schedule made in heaven.
