I know. It's all good.

Jerry Kill has been sucesssful everywhere he has gone. He has made big strides at Minnesota. He is doing it with 2 star and 3 star recruits. Mark Dantonio is building a powerhouse at Michigan State. Once he starts getting the 5 star recruits watch out because he can flat out coach and has one heck of an DC in Pat Narduzzi.

What a terrible hire made by Nebraska. I mean, he didn't even get first place in this poll.

That's funny. To be honest I don't know much about Mike Riley. He is obviously well respected by his peers. When he was announced as Nebraska's Coach I was shocked. I was thinking a big name coach would be named. Nebraska must feel strong he is a difference maker. If they could just fix their defense; they would be so much better!

I remember a long, long time ago when Kirk Ferentz was on the top of this list. Then Iowa upped his salary to $3.7M and he has never made an under-rated list ever since. Jim Grobe and other good coaches used to be on that list too. Most of them are gone now. Coaches can only work miracles for so long.

It isn't about working miracles, it is about working. Head Coaches should never be given that long of contracts in this day and age. The competition level is just too high when most other coaches are actually working to maintain their jobs. A coach like Ferentz is just too settled and too comfortable.
