Former MAC Coaches top college football's best - dfn2006 - 12-10-2014 09:00 AM

My quick calculation has 3 coaches on this list of the Best Active Coaches in College Football list with ties to the MAC - Meyer, Kelly and Saban. Correct me if I am wrong. Curious to know what you all think of the format? All feedback - criticism included - is welcome!

Not sure Kelly has earned that spot yet.

He did get his team to the BCS National Championship. Honestly it was between him and Chris Petersen for the last spot. Both had great resumes before their current job, but Kelly has the BCS Championship Game and more success on the big stage than Petersen at Washington.

Todd Graham is better than both.

I think you'd have to put guys who have won national championships on the list before Kelly, such as Les Miles and Jimbo Fisher.

Technically 5-12 (the Selection Committee Bowls) are not seeded so there is no distinction between them.

Lots of Big12 success, and two immediate SEC East championships from Gary Pinkel and the Mizzou Tigers.
